Ring out the old, ring in the new!

During the first week of Jan 2014, I was completely caught up in planning the trek to Kumara Parvata and then recuperating from all the cramps and aches. In the second week I got busy with launch of “Swalpa Adjust Maadi…kindly adjust”. What seemed like a simple task at the outset consumed quite some time and effort. Writing, rewriting, proofreading & editing is a tough job for a novice.  In this entire hullabaloo, it completely skipped my mind that the blog came to life in the beginning of 2014.

2014 holds a lot of promise. With AAP delivering the splendid performance in Delhi and going on to form the government, the cynicism that people had that change is impossible is beginning to melt away. This seems to have woken up a lot of people from their slumber and lethargy. We are reading/hearing of people working towards the causes they believe in. A few have given up cushy corporate jobs and have entered (hopefully) public service.

Growing up we were conditioned to think that the system is too powerful and change is practically impossible. However, it’s time we realize that change is inevitable. However, the change can be for better or worse. It is in us to ensure that the change takes the direction we want it to. On this note, I wish that you make 2014 the year of change. A change that will impact your life and that of your loved ones for the better.

Though we are already 16 days into it, let me still wish you all a Happy New Year!!!

  1. Maga,
Not sure if you intended to say the same in the last paragraph "One this note, I wish that you make 2014 the year of change."
Should it be On this note instead of One this note.

  2. He probably meant "On this note" :)
Maga, proof reading to be more detailed. Noticed a few minor slip ups in other posts also. Would suggest you ask different people do it each time before posting.

  3. Thanks for the alerting me to the slip up guys. Have corrected this. Will take more care for future posts.
Gudi: Good suggestion Maga. I had approached a couple of friends to proof reading & grammar check, but didn't follow up as I didn't hear back from them. Will check again with renewed vigor.
